About The Neighbor Times

We are a hyperlocal life platform
for the diverse families and businesses
of Fairfax County and Northern Virginia.

Launched in 2026 in Fairfax, The Neighbor Times delivers what matters today — deadlines you cannot miss, benefits you may qualify for, practical local news, and the real stories of our neighbors.

We currently support 16 languages and are starting in Fairfax County. Over the next 3 years, we will expand across Virginia, DC, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and North Carolina.

Our Mission

Help every neighbor — regardless of language or background — stay informed, access support, and feel connected in a community that values dignity, care, and mutual support.

Editorial Principles

Every story published on The Neighbor Times must meet these 7 standards.

1
All 5 axes reach every community
Every category serves all residents — not targeted by ethnicity or origin.
2
Facts only — zero opinion
We report what happened. We do not tell readers what to think.
3
4 languages simultaneously
English · Korean · Vietnamese · Spanish — same story, same time.
4
AI + human verification
AI assists with speed; humans verify accuracy before publication.
5
Source every claim
Every fact has a named source. Anonymous sources require editorial approval.
6
Both sides on contested issues
Any story involving conflict must include response from all parties.
7
Local impact first
National news is only covered if it directly affects our community.

Who We Serve

The Neighbor Times serves all residents of our coverage area — not defined by ethnicity, language, or national origin. Our community is anyone who calls this neighborhood home.

We serve in multiple languages because language is an accessibility need, not a demographic target.
